Hoppipolla
…and the 100th post on this blog deserves nothing else than Hoppipolla and will be the last for a while again.
Let’s jump into puddles !!
Von - one of the first words I’ve learned in Icelandic. Hope.
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
Gong one more time… Glad not to have such a “machine”…
Making of Heima
During my stay in Iceland (volunteering at Icelandic classical music festival) I’ve got to know a very special “background” guy - the tuner of Sigur Ros’ pianos (the reykjavik chamber orchestra and other groups as well). He took this picture while making Heima :)
Btw, Sigur Ros are supposed to release a new CD soon… :)
Did you know that Canadian duo Crystal Castles used a part of Sigur Ros’ song Inní mér syngur vitleysingur for their Year of Silence?
Have you seen this beautiful movie (The Boys Are Back) with soundtrack by Sigur Ros?
Another songs in movies:
Untitled 4: Vanilla Sky (where I got to know them…)
Andavari: Remember me (nice scene with nice tunes…)
Untitled 1: After the Wedding (nice Danish movie)
Sigur Rós - Sæglópur
Sigur Rós - Gong
After a short break, I’m back again. Not sure for how long… But I feel kind of obliged and glad at the same time to post Sigur Ros, finally. My introducer into the Icelandic music.
Winter, Christmas, cold and snow (even if it has completely melted few days ago)… That all reminds me of the North. And Sigur Rós’ tunes just make me feel cozy and warmer.
Merry Christmas to you!!
I’ve stopped with this blog for a while. In meantime, enjoy this one!!
I’ll be back, soon or later :)
